Cosmetology Required Hours: 1450
Nail Technology Required Hours: 350
Esthetics Required Hours: 550

Barber Required Hours: 1250

Reciprocity: Current license, substantially equivalent credentials and qualifications; minimum of 400 hour/yr for at least 2 of 5 years preceding date of application.

Renewal: Expiration date April 30th of even number years: cos- $15 for 2 years. Expiration date of March 31st of even numbered years - barber, cos, nails- $40 for 2 years.

CE Requirement: Colorado does not require continuing education at this time, but there are some classes that must be taken and completed to use certain products, equipment, and techniques.

Here is a listing of those requirements: Electric File Safety - 8 training hours, Permanent Make-Up - 132 training hours, Chemical Peels - 24 training hours, Microdermabrasion - 14 training hours, Hair Removal by Waxing by Manicurists - 6 training hours.
